Kindergarten Highlights:

• Firefighters visit each month to work with kindergarten students.
• During Reader's Workshop, we have 4 adults to work with students and offer individualized attention.
• Daily visits to the media center to check out books.
• Minnesota Reading Corps individual tutoring.
• Field trips include visiting the apple orchard, Como planetarium, Minnesota Children's Museum, Minnesota Zoo, Gibb's Farm, Como Zoo and Cafesjian's Carousel, the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, and St. Paul Fire Station 18 to have lunch with our firefighter friends!
• Units of study include community helpers, sky, Hmong New Year, water and fish, plants and farms, pets, Kenya, environment  and Chinese New Year.
